Nadja Haas

 

Nadja Haas is a multidisciplinary artist based in Berlin who graduated with a Master of Art Fine degree from the Slade School of Fine Art UCL, London, in the 1990s. 


Between 1997 and 2010, Haas lived in San Francisco, USA where she drew inspiration from the performance artists Guillermo Gomez-Pena and Sara Shelton-Mann. She is a member of the Red Poppy Art House Artists group of the Asian-American Artists Association and regularly participates in Artists Residency programs, like Multimadeira, Portugal, Cardoso Art, Italy and Ponderosa, Stolzenhagen, Berlin, Germany. 


Her most recent exhibition, 7 Encounters in Wales with drawings (as a performance), was shown at Mid Wales Arts Centre, Powys, UK in spring 2016.


Nadja Haas is an Art/Performance educator at Berlin Bilingual Secondary School and at the Berlin Art School as well as a returning lecturer at the Mediathek, Bethanien Art House, Berlin.
